Before reading the whole story I’ll suggest you to start your journey after dinner. then it would be more comfortable. We started our journey from Katra at 9 am. If there is senior citizen in your family then it would be better to take horse from the very first time because after some kms the same horse charge double fare.

When we went the full road was not under shade which is now done. After 2kms it is a tough path. There are stairs beside road for short cut but while going up it would be better to not use the stairs. we faced lot problems because our journey was at morning.

But whenever we were feeling tired there was a sound coming from the road “Jai Mata Di“, another team from any other state of India they were also going there.

After 7km there is a place to take rest, there are many food stalls & travelers take break at that place. after 7-9 km that’s the toughest part of our tour. this 2km is very tough because road is very high.

Total road is of 14km & after 13km you can listen bells & sound of rituals from the temple. our team was of 10 people & we again met there. Then it was almost 4pm & there was huge line in front of the temple.

It took 3 hours for us to go to the front of temple. Entry is very small so there is a chance to be crowded. the entry was within a cave. After going sometimes in a room we could see Mata Vaishno devi. .It feels amazing.

Please Note :- Camera is not allowed inside the temple.

Then we visited Kal Vairab which is after 2km from there. It is said Vaishno Devi cover full, you must visit Kal Vairab temple. After visiting Kal Vairab temple we returned towards Katra. while coming downstairs we didn’t feel tired. Almost at 3 am we were back to Katra. We all were tired for the journey but its memorable tour for me..
