In our puri trip we posted our visit on nandankanan,puri sea beach and konarak temple.
we visited the the famous puri sree jaganath temple on next day of our trip..camera is not allowed on temple..
its a huge temple..Here everyday crowd gathers to do the puja.

Histroy :-

The temple was built in the 12th century atop its ruins by the progenitor of the Eastern Ganga dynasty,King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva.The temple is famous for its annual Rath Yatra, or chariot festival,in which the three main temple deities are hauled on huge and elaborately decorated temple cars.
Since medieval times, it is also associated with intense religious fervor.

The temple is sacred to the Vaishnava traditions and saint Ramananda who was closely associated with the temple.It is also of particular significance to the followers of the Gaudiya Vaishnavism whose founder, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu,was attracted to the deity, Jagannath, and lived in Puri for many years

Uday giri:-

This one was also one of our best spot for sightscene. There are different types of buddha stup.mainly this is largest buddhist complex of India.still something which reminds one of Budha period .Good time to spend at these caves, one of the biggest discovery. The place has been studied but people from various countries. Now under the control of Heritage society.

Udayagiri Caves are located outer area in the Bhubaneswar town. There are 18 caves excavated on Udayagiri hill.

The largest and the most beautiful, Cave 1, Rani Gumpha or Queen’s Cave, off the pain path to the right is double
storeyed. A good place to see the old architecture.

Dhabal giri :-

we visited this place on our puri sightscene in bhubaneswar trip..This place is 7 km from Bhubaneswar..The word ‘shanti’ in the name itself suggests peace..Shanti Stupa of Dhauligiri is also known as the Peace Pagoda.There is a huge statue of a Lion at Dhaulagiri which looks over the plains of the River Daya in Bhubaneswar.The Shanti Stupa at Dhaulagiri acts a major attraction for people in Bhubaneswar.Ashoka had a special weakness for Dhauli, where the battle was fought. The Daya river is said to have turned red with the blood of the many deceased after the battle, and enabled Ashoka to realize the magnitude of horror associated with war. He saw to it that Dhauli became an important centre of Buddhist activities. He built several chaityas, stupas and pillars there really its a nice place to visit..To see this i remember Biswa Santi Stupa of rajgir.. One can spot the Buddha footprints as well as the Bodhi tree over the stone panels.
when we reached Dhabal giri then it’s almost 6pm on the clock.We couldn’t capture pictures due to less light.
