“Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.”

It is our 30th post. It has been an wonderful a journey so far and on that note, we would like to share our 5 best “Incredible India” moments. These are the 5 best places that we have visited and each destination has been equally beautiful and thrilling!

1) Living root bridge,Mawlynnong :-

“These bridges are not built, they are grown. And takes almost a decade or more to become strong and sturdy”
“In most places around the world, bridges are constructed using concrete and steel as the main building materials. Even in the epic Ramayana when Rama had to cross over to Lanka to save Sita, he built a bridge with mud and stone.”
The bridge is the main attraction of Mawlynnong village. We visited this place during the 2014 pujas.
The bridge is located 2 kms from the village. We had to descend almost 200 steps to reach the foot of the bridge. However tiredness gave way to wonder when we finally laid our eyes on it.

The only word that came to my mind was BEAUTIFUL…..

2) The Day, When we were Helpless in Sela Pass, Arunachal Pradesh :-

The Sela Pass (more appropriately called Se La, as La means Pass) is the high-altitude mountain pass located in Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh state of India. It has an elevation of 4170 m (13,700 ft) connects the Buddhist city of Tawang Town to Tezpur and Guwahati and is the main road connecting Tawang with the rest of India.
After reading the introduction you have already guessed that this is a chilly place.

Its freezing. We found this place on our way to Tawang from Bomdilla. An army base is also located nearby.Tourists who come here don’t hang around for than 5 mins as it is so cold and remote. But we stayed here for 21 hrs!

Nalanda, The Oldest University of India :-

If someone asks me after travelling so many places which one is the coldest, my answer will be only Bihar.
Nalanda is part of Buddhist religious circuit. It can also be visited as part of one day trip from Bodhgaya or Patna.

This is 90km from Buddha Gaya. The day we visited this place the weather was chilled cold. The road was foggy. When we were close to Nalanda was feeling like we are going to see the history.Very thrilling. A very huge space. From the main gate of university we entered there.Nalanda was a seat of learning in 6th century AD. It housed about 10,000 students and 2,000 teachers, from different let’s of the world. The great Aryabhatta and Chanakya are said to have been teachers here. The most account of Nalanda comes from writings of Chinese philosopher Hu en Sang.

Jaldapara :- First time in my life I have done safari of an animal :-

First time in my life I have done safari of an animal.Elephant safari is most thrilling tour of my life.We visited Jaldapara at around 8.30 am.We were very lucky that we could see a Rhinoceros at the salt point opposite Bunglow.
We took the last trip of safari at 9 am.First time on a elephant, such a thrilling feeling.4 elephants started walking. After walking sometimes 2 elephants went to the other side. The more we went inside the jungle, the deeper it got. After some times we saw a Rhinoceros. The distance was almost 8ft.Never seen any wild animal so closely before.Superb experience. Other two elephants were walking through the other side.So the Rhinoceros started running.

Rajgir is a city and a notified area in Nalanda district in the Indian state of Bihar. The city of Rajgir (ancient Rājagṛha; Pali: Rājagaha) was the first capital of the kingdom of Magadha, a state that would eventually evolve into the Mauryan Empire its blazing white 40m-high Vishwashanti StupaOne of the best thrilling experience of my life.I always knew ropeway means a structure with covered cage (capsul) but seen a ropeway first time in my life which is single Chair car ropeway. After I sat there really felt like my body weight decreased & I’m 20ft above.
